Rich Hipp often says that he “just cuts wood.” That is his humble way of describing a lifelong passion for woodworking that has parlayed itself into a career spanning over 12 years. Rich worked for a builder of executive homes and a custom cabinet shop for a decade before he and his wife, Joy, founded Hipp Cabinetry & Construction in March 2009.
Rich is the face of Hipp Cabinetry & Construction, meeting with homeowners, doing the design and woodworking and managing subcontractors when needed. Whereas, Joy is the backbone of the company, doing much of the behind-the-scenes work such as bidding, ordering supplies and billing. The former high school teacher chose to become involved in the family business in order to spend more time with her husband and young children.
Together, Rich and Joy have created a company that has grown solely by referrals from satisfied customers. The Hipps attribute their success to the following four core values:
Respect. We treat your project, your home and your family as if they were our own. We listen closely, share our expertise openly and communicate honestly with you.
Value. We provide you with the best materials and workmanship available at the best prices. That does not necessarily mean the lowest price, but it does mean the best value.
Service. Our personalized and attentive service ensures that the building process, as well as the completed project, lives up to—or exceeds—your expectations.
Craftsmanship. Our classic designs paired with our painstaking craftsmanship promises that your project will be functional, beautiful and lasting.
